This policy applies to useanneal.com, every Anneal app subdomain, and every Shopify app published under the Anneal vendor name on the Shopify App Store.

When you install an Anneal app, we receive access to a minimal set of Shopify data based on the scopes shown to you in the install consent screen. We only request what the app needs to function.

For Anneal Geo specifically:

• Your Shopify store domain and store owner's email address.
• The rules you configure in the app dashboard (countries, actions, URLs, message text).
• The country code (ISO-3166 alpha-2) of storefront visitors, looked up from their IP address using the MaxMind GeoLite2 database. The IP itself is not stored.
• Anonymized counts of which rules fire how often, used to populate the analytics inside your dashboard.

We do not collect customer names, customer email addresses, credit card information, full visitor IP addresses, or any other personally identifying information from storefront visitors.

Strictly to operate the app you installed. The data is used to evaluate your rules against incoming storefront visitors, render the app dashboard, and show you analytics about which rules fired.

• Sell, rent, or share merchant or visitor data with third parties.
• Profile visitors across stores.
• Train machine-learning models on your data.
• Store visitor IP addresses, credit card numbers, full addresses, or customer IDs.
• Send marketing email to addresses captured through Anneal apps.

Anneal sets first-party cookies on the storefront only when a visitor dismisses a banner or overrides a Geo redirect. These cookies hold a short value (a rule ID and expiration) and contain no tracking identifiers. The Anneal admin dashboard uses session cookies required for authenticated access. No third-party trackers, no analytics pixels, no cross-site sync.

Anneal apps implement Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) and respond to them per Shopify's specifications. If you uninstall an Anneal app, we delete your configuration data 30 days after uninstall, unless you request earlier deletion.

You can export or delete your Anneal data at any time. Uninstall the app to begin the deletion window. For early deletion, EU/UK data requests, or any other concern, email the address below and we'll respond within a few business days.

Anneal runs on servers located in the United States. Your information may be processed outside of the country where you live. Regardless of where it's processed, the protections in this policy apply.

Anneal does not share Personally Identifiable Information with third parties. We may disclose information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, or to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was most recently revised.
